Thoughts from the coach

As promised, I would share a few thoughts and insights on the Donald Sterling case.

This is not meant to judge, this is just my humble opinions.

First and foremost, I am in 100 percent support of commissioner Adam Sliver and his stance to give a life time band on the owner Donald Sterling. And the 2.5 million dollar fine.

Things that come to my mind.
1 ) I feel sorry for his WIFE. this incident was recorded with a girlfriend. A girlfriend. Where is the loyalty and commitment to his WIFE? just my personal opinion, extra marital affairs are wrong, so maybe this is karma....I still feel there was a motive, why was this recorded without his knowledge? Also an unacceptable action.
2 ) this man had an on going track record of such conduct and behavior, it was a pattern. I don't believe that this learned behavior is acceptable in the NBA or in society as a whole.
3 ) I realize things like this fuel passion and emotions in all of us. but lets be honest. We all heard these recordings, what did you do? How did you react? Did you make this a teachable moment for you and your loves ones and family?
4 ) I don't agree with some of the Instagram recordings I viewed from some celebrities, I also read things on other social media sites. Again, I UNDERSTAND YOUR PASSION, but cursing a man and dropping F bombs is not appropriate behavior as well. "Two wrongs don't make a right." Why lower yourself to this racist mans behavior. Rise above and have HONOR, DIGNITY, be professional. Again, I understand why you would! but doesn't it look just as bad for some of these celebrities to drop F bombs on this guys, there are better ways to make a point. Hold yourself accountable.
5 ) this man needs help and support, he needs people to hold him accountable, just because he has money doesn't make him so powerful that we as people can't try to help him, teach him different, show him different ways of thinking, changing his perspective in healthy ways. This man needs prayer. I understand he is older and set in his ways. I realize he grew up in a different generation and culture of thought. but we as people need to be as strong in our support to seek help for him as quickly as we were to judge him.

Again, I am not judging him, I feel sorry for him. I feel sorry for his ignorance, I feel sorry for his wife, I feel sorry for his family? I feel sad for this man. That he truly doesn't understand the error of his ways.

The man has money, he will afford lawyers, he will be forced to sale his team yes, but he will sale to a family member or his wife maybe? I hope that the people he hires share with him that they too don't agree with him? I hope people in his circle hold him accountable. I hope family of his teach him a better way. I am afraid he will surround himself with people who will sale out and tell him what he wants to hear and support him because he will pay for his support.

I pray that we as society learn from this and grow from this.
I don't agree with his lifestyle, his extra marital affairs, I don't agree with his stance, I don't agree with his racial thoughts. As I know obviously many of you feel the same way.

Please share your thoughts here.

God Bless us all, let us not repeat the pattern.

You can be passionate, but some of these celebrities are just as wrong to react they way they did as well.
