Coach David Blatt on Hot Seat ?
Cav's coach David Blatt
I am curious to hear your thoughts and opinions on this topic.
Is it fair for the criticism Coach David Blatt is receiving for the play of the Cleveland Cavaliers ?
Should he be Fired?
Do you think the Team is buying into his system?
The way the situation was set up from the beginning put Coach Blatt in an awkward position. They hire him as coach and then hire the guy that was the leading candidate for the job as his assistant. Lebron is not competing for the entire game. He gets frustrated and quits on plays. It happened in the last two minutes of the Pelicans game, which he pulled himself out of, and it happened around the two minute mark of the Heat game on Christmas day. He checks out of the game and goes to the end of the bench and laughs and jokes with Brendan Haywood and Shawn Marion. He sits down with D Wade before the Heat game and laughs and jokes for the cameras. He's approached the season in a pretty disgusting way. At this point they aren't even running Coach Blatt's system. Politically his hands are tied but he's a first class guy and he's capable of getting everybody on board. No he should not be fired. Somebody needs to get Lebron in check.
The Cavs need to figure out who can fit into their system and who is a learner and rid themselves of personnel that are not in the future plans. Blatt needs to solidify his relationship with the big 3 ( James, Love, Irving) . He had a run in with Irving earlier in the year. Time is needed to steer this ship in the right direction.
